Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a stationary and stable rejecting function by determining a threshold value of rejection according to the ratio of a similarity right after registration and a current similarity or the ratio of the similarity right after registration and the mean value of similarities of past (n) samples. CONSTITUTION: The similarity right after registration is stored in a similarity storage part 8 and the threshold value of rejection is varied according to the difference from a similarity when a secular change is made. According to the ratio of the similarity of 1st order of a recognition result and the similarity in the storage part 8, the threshold value of rejection is determined. Even when the similarity becomes small as a result, the threshold value also becomes small at the same time. Similarly, the mean similarity right after registration is found and the threshold value of rejection is determined according to the ratio to the mean value of the past (n) sample similarities in the use of the device. Consequently, the rejecting function can be obtained which is stationary and stable against the lapse of time and changes in environment, etc.
