Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide photo-decomposition optical system capable of decomposing the incident light flux into three colors with good spectral characteristics by properly constituting multiple prisms and dichroic films. CONSTITUTION:In a photo-decomposition optical system having at least three prisms of the first prism 1 with the first dichroic film 4, the second prism 2 with the second dichroic film 5, and the third prism 3; the red light in the incident light flux is reflected by the first dichroic film 4 with the first prism 1 then sent out via an absorption filter 6 cutting the light with the wavelength shorter than that of the red light, the green light in the light flux passing through the first dichroic film 4 is reflected by the second dichroic film 5 provided on the second prism 2 then sent out via an absorption filter 7 cutting the light with the wavelength shorter than that of the green light, and the blue light passing through the second dichroic film 5 is sent out via the third prism 3.
