Abstract:
PURPOSE:To use a data base retrieval processing system in a wide range by determining a retrieval method and a graph output form with the operation of a work station to automatic ally retrieve and process a data base in a host and automatically displaying the processing results as a graph on the work station side. CONSTITUTION:A list of operation items to determine the retrieval and processing method and the graph output form is prepared in a work station 10, and processing request information is generated by the selecting operation of operation items and is reported to a host 12, and meanwhile, a list where indication items required for retrieval and processing of the data base are stored is prepared in the host 12, and an indication item corresponding to the processing request from the work station 10 is taken out and the processing is performed, and the processing results are reported to the work station 10. The work station 10 receives the processing results to take out information of a graph form corresponding to the processing results from a list of graph information and displays the processing results as a graph. Thus, high level data base retrieval and processing and graph output are realized with an easy operation.
