Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a desired copy image with stability even after the repetitive image formations for a long time by using a specified wavelength of light as an irradiating light on a photosensitive layer and ventilating the air in the vicinity of the photosensitive body for a specified time during an image formation process or at the completion time of it. CONSTITUTION:The light not incorporating the wavelengths of <=400nm in the irradiating light to the photosensitive layer incorporating a polysilane compound on a conductive supporting body is used and during the image formation process or at the completion time of it, the air in the vicinity of the photosensitive body is ventilated for a specified time. The polysilane compound is cut the polysilane main chain when it is irradiated with the light of wavelengths of <=350nm and it forms a radical and finally reacts with oxygen and water in the air to modify it to a siloxane linkage. Also when it is exposed to the wavelengths of >=400nm and <=350nm, the sensitivity of the polysilane photosensitive body is degraded and the residual electricity and the bright part potential become larger.
