Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely maintain a terminal adapter by executing the B channel data communication of an ISDN line through the use of a general ISDN communication equipment and using a general-purpose command such as an AT command. SOLUTION: An interface part 1 separates the B channel and the D channel of the ISDN line and sends call control information to a call control information transmission/reception part 2. Data communication information is sent to a speed matching part 3 provided with a V110 communication procedure realizing data communication slower than 64Kb/s. A terminal part 4 terminates the B channel by the ISDN line Bch and the equipment shows as if a communication opposite party is connected to a local terminal to it. A device control part 6 controls the whole equipment. A center side executing maintenance emits the subscriber number of a maintained side and a sub-address operating a remote maintenance function and it can maintain a maintained device.
