Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain ceramics which does not contain lead, has a high Curie point and has an excellent piezoelectric characteristic, more particularly large Qmax by forming the ceramics of a bismuth layer-like compound containing Sr, Bi, Ti and Ln(Lanthanoids), incorporating an SrBiTiO type crystal therein and specifying an atomic ratio and cobalt oxide content. SOLUTION: The atomic ratio is 0=450$ deg.C and Qmax is 39.50 to 54.40. The process for production consists in wet mixing compounded raw material, calcining the mixture at 800 to 1000 deg.C, slurrying the resulted calcined matter and subjecting the calcined matter to wet process pulverizing with a ball mill, etc. The powder of the calcined matter is dried and is press formed, by which the molding is obtained. The molding is then fired for 1 to 5 hours at 1200 to 1350 deg.C.
