Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a pseudo-bamboo with a feel of a male bamboo or a female bamboo by a method wherein a core material consisting of a thermoplastic plastic tube is transferred out of a die of an extruder and knots are made up at a specified distance on the surface of the core material with a molten plastic material and only knot parts or parts between the knots are cured by cooling and drawn. CONSTITUTION:For example, a double-type extruder 1 is used an extruder 9 is used for forming a base color film and an extruder 10 is used for forming a pattern film. While a core material 4 consisting of a thermoplastic plastic tube with a relatively low m.p. is transferred from a die 2, a molten plastic film is formed on the surface and on the other hand, transferring of the core material 4 is stopped at a specified time interval to make knots 6 and 6'. Only the knots 6 and 6' or canes 7 between them are cured by cooling and when they are pulled out at a speed being faster than the transferring speed of the core material 4, the canes 7 or knots 6 and 6' are drawn to obtain a pseudo- bamboo being very similar to a natural bamboo with a feeling of a male bamboo or a female bamboo.
