Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accurately focus even if an object is a low brightness by using information adding a picture element signal. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic focusing (AF) function, an adding means 104 adding each picture element signal of an imaging device 101 in one direction on a screen by plural lines, and a focusing means focusing based on the output of the adding means 104 are provided. That is, based on the picture information added in the one direction of the screen, the focusing is executed. Thus, when the object is the low brightness, lots of noises are included in the picture element signal, though, since the plural lines are added, the S/N of a signal for the AF is improved, and the accurate focusing information can be obtained.
