Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an unnecessary area calculating device which can automatically calculate the areas of unnecessary materials in a designing step to acquire the quantity of these unnecessary materials produced in the manufacturing processes of produces and can make a disuse processing plan of the unnecessary materials also in the designing step. CONSTITUTION:An unnecessary area calculating device includes a material deciding means 100 which decides the materials for production of products based on the graphic data generated by a graphic processor, a graphic data arranging means 101 which arranges a single or plural pieces of graphic data in a material area based on the types and the quantity of the prescribed products, a material area calculating means 102 which calculates the area of each decided material, a graphic area calculating means 103 which calculates the areas of the arranged graphic data and then calculates the total area of the graphic data arranged in the material area based on the calculated areas, and an unnecessary area calculating means 104 which calculates the unnecessary areas of materials by subtracting the total area of graphic data from the calculated material areas.
