Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely transform a character form such as a considerable change in a fundamental outline and thickness of a character, an addition of variegated expressions, etc., controlling an increase in a data quantity, only by building in a function of creating a frequency font composed by expressing the outline of the character by a set of discrete spatial frequency components by using a normal character font and a function of creating a transformation font transformed in the character outline based on the frequency font. SOLUTION: For instance, a CPU1 normally reads an outline font from a font storage part 3-1 and also samples the outline by tracing it, and converts it into a set of discrete frequency components by discrete FFT processing. A transformation font into which the outline of the character is transformed is created by processing the data composing this frequency font. The original coordinate data is created by processing this transformation font by inverse FFT, and the character font is developed and outputted based on this coordinate data.
