Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a photo-driven type semiconductor device and method of rapidly photo-driving a switching element while enhancing the reliability upon the switching element. CONSTITUTION: A photo-driven type semiconductor device is provided with a voltage driving type switching element as well as a switching element 6 for charging the gate of this voltage driven type switching element 1 and another switching element 7 for discharging this gate. Besides, a photo-electromotive element 8 generates the photo-electromotive force by photo-detection so as to drive-control the charge and discharge switching elements 6, 7. On the other hand, a power supply circuit 3 generating intermediate voltage composed of capacitive bodies 19, 20, resistors 21, 22 and a reverse current checking diode 23 is provided between cathode and anode of the voltage driven type switching element 1. This intermediate voltage is fed to the charge switching element 6.
