Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably supply a powder-like additive for space saving by continuously supplying polymer chips in a hopper to an extruder, and supplying the additive from a powder supplying step capable of being atmospheric sealed to the flowing chips from a bottom of the hopper to a feeding pocket of the extruder. SOLUTION: A powder-like additive to be added to a polymer from a continuously quantitative feeder 2 is continuously metered and discharged, and the additive discharged from the feeder 2 by opening and closing an automatic vale 4 after an automatic valve 3 is opened or closed is charged and added in a feeding pocket of a uniaxial kneading extruder 1 for holding the additive discharged from the feeder 2 in parallel with the chips from a vacuum type polymer chip hopper 5. The valves 3 and 4 are alternately opened and closed at a predetermined time interval, and an extrusion molding having small irregularity of powder concentration can be manufactured while holding the degree of vacuum of the extruder 1 by a vacuum pump 6. Thus, the additive can be simply, stably supplied in a limited space with relatively small investment.
