Abstract:
A flame-retardant polyester film which is a copolyester film containing a phosphorus compound represented by the general formula (1), wherein the content of the phosphorus compound is 1,500 to 50,000 ppm of the polyester in terms of phosphorus atom amount. It has flame retardancy which has not been attained with any conventional technique. (In the formula, R1 represents a monovalent ester-forming functional group; R2 and R3 are the same or different and each represents one member selected among halogeno, C1-10 hydrocarbon groups, and the same group as R1; A represents a di- or trivalent organic residue; n1 is 1 or 2; and n2 and n3 each is an integer of 0 to 4.)
