Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data converting method which actualizes the reduction of the throughput (labor) regarding the generation of figures on the whole design system and actualizes interference check processing, rendering processing, and line elimination among different kinds of incompatible CAD. SOLUTION: This data converting method includes a data conversion processing step of a type A which converts 3D solid figure data 1 generated by AutoCAD (trademark) into data in polygon form with thickness properties representable on Intergraph(trademark)-PDS while maintaining its characteristics and a data conversion processing step of a type B which converts the 3D solid figure data 1 into data in 'polyline + polyface mesh' form representable on Intergraph-PDS.
