Abstract:
PURPOSE: A circuit for driving a plasma display is provided to perform the detection of the moving by using a small amount of memory in comparison with a conventional circuit. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for driving a plasma display includes a signal converter(1) and a false contour processing block. The signal converter(1) generates a lighting pattern for use in a lighting/non-lighting control of each of the sub-fields from the degree of gray level of the inputted image signals. And, the false contour processing block detects the image among the still image or the dynamic image by comparing the changes of the lighting pattern before and after and processing the false contour suppression by adjusting the lighting and non-lighting of the predetermined sub-fields in the lighting pattern when the dynamic image is detected.
