Abstract:
To solve the problem of a conventional controller that the circulation time of a current flowing in a resistor for current detection decreases due to reduction in the on-time of a PWM control signal and the current detection becomes difficult as a result, when the current on the DC side of an inverter is detected by a current detecting resistor without using a sensor for detection of each phase ofcurrent in performing the vector control of a motor. This controller discriminates between the case where it is possible to reproduce a motor current in two phases and the case where it is possibleto reproduce it only in one phase, in every chopper period of PWM control, and computes the percentage that the time in the case where it is possible to reproduce the motor current in two phases occupies in the specified time optionally determined, and controls the motor to switch the chopper frequency in PWM control, based on the percentage.
