To improve the efficiency of mount wiring for connecting a liquid crystal display element and a driver IC to each other.
A driving circuit 30 for a simple matrix type liquid crystal panel constituted by connecting row drivers to row electrodes and column drivers to column electrodes and arranging a liquid crystal layer between the row electrodes and column electrodes is characterized by that the column electrodes are substantially halved into a 1st group of column electrodes in the numerical order of spatially arranging the column electrodes and a 2nd group of column electrodes, the column electrodes of the 1st group being all serially arranged and the column electrodes of the 2nd group being all serially arranged; output terminals of the column drivers are divided into a 1st group of output terminals 1L, a 2nd group of output terminals 1R, and a 3rd group of output terminals 10; and the column electrodes of the 1st group and the output terminals of the 1st group are connected one to one, the column electrodes of the 2nd group and the output terminals of the 2nd group are connected one to one, and the output terminals of the 3rd group are not connected to the column electrodes.
