Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroforming method, wherein a block cross sectional product including a deformed portion can be accurately manufactured from a pipe material in a simple process with a simple and small facility and a short tact, so that manufacturing cost can be significantly reduced. SOLUTION: When a product having a sectional area of narrower width than diameter of a pipe material at least at one part of entire length is formed from the pipe material which is bent in a flat plane, a bent product formed by bending the pipe material into a desired flat shape is inserted between a pair of slide blocks 3 of a lower die, which can move in right/left directions inside an outer die. Then, an upper die 1' having an upper molding face is actuated under the condition that the bent product is filled with liquid and pressurized. Thereby, a pair of the slide blocks 3 are moved in an approaching direction, and the bent product is continuously deformed with the slide blocks 3 and the upper molding face and is clamped. Also, an inner pressure of the bent product is continuously raised under the condition that the upper die 1' is locked against the lower die 1, so that pressurization molding is performed till the product has a target cross sectional shape.
