Abstract:

To eliminate the factors causing troubles in practical use of a (BH)max140 kJ/m3radial magnetic anisotropy magnet motor, i.e. (1) vulnerability of value (cost performance) for an existing magnet motor, (2) durability such as demagnetization resistance, and (3) deterioration in silentness and stop position precision.

In a multilayer structure magnet consisting of an inplane anisotropic layer, a normal to plane anisotropic layer, and an optional boundary layer where anisotropic clusters exist mixedly in the circumferential direction and radial direction, multipolar magnetization is carried out using the normal to plane anisotropic layer side as a magnetic pole, and the directions of inplane and normal to plane anisotropy are converted into the circumferential and radial directions by utilizing flexibility attained through elongation of macromolecule between bridges of the magnet thus obtaining a multilayer structure multipolar magnet rotor. More preferably, the multilayer structure magnet has a thickness of ≤1,350 μm, the circumferential and radial anisotropic layers have (BH)maxof ≥140 kJ/m3, and the circumferential anisotropic layer is supported by a nonmagnetic member.
