Title:
内燃機関の排気浄化装置
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP4131784
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve NOx-purification efficiency by NOx reduction catalyst. SOLUTION: A reducing agent injection valve 18 for heating liquid-reducing agent, such as light oil and urea aqueous solution to increase its temperature with heating elements 18A and 18B such as electric heaters, that extend in the axial direction and are disposed substantially concentrically and then injecting and adding it, is interposed in an exhaust passage 12 on the upstream side of the NOx reduction catalyst, for converting NOx in the exhaust into innoxious material through reduction reaction. Thus, the heated liquid-reducing agent is added to the upstream side of the NOx reduction catalyst, so that the decrease in the exhaust temperature will be suppressed, even if the liquid drop mixes with the exhaust. Vaporization of the liquid reducing agent is accelerated by heating it, so that the supply distribution of the reducing agent for the NOx reduction catalyst is uniformized and diffusion of the reducing agent is improved. The NOx purification efficiency by the NOx reduction catalyst can be improved by the synergistic effect of the suppression of the decrease of the exhaust temperature and the improvement of the diffusion of the reducing agent.
