To solve the problem that a toner cannot be replenished quickly and developer cannot be sufficiently mixed and stirred in a short time to raise the amount of electrification of a toner to a degree suitable for development.
Using two-component developer containing a toner T and a carrier C, a development device 2 develops an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier 1. The development device 2 includes a rotatable toner stirring and conveyance screw 27 that stirs and electrifies the toner T and the carrier C; a toner supply part 11 with a mesh electrode 28 having holes through which the toner T is sent out; and a toner electrostatic conveyance means 12 that conveys the toner T, supplied from the toner supply part 11, toward a developing part and develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier 1.
