Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of character recognition by deforming character image data displayed on a screen. SOLUTION: Image data including the character image data displayed on the screen are read (step S1), the read image data are binarized, the character image data are cut out from the binarized image data (step S2), a pixel is randomly selected from pixels constituting the cut-out character image data as a watched pixel, it is set that the watched pixel is white or black and how many pixels are white or black in the circumference 8 of the watched pixel (reverse threshold=0-8), when a number more than the set number is the different color from the watched pixel, and a deformation process of reversing the color of the watched pixel is performed for prescribed times so as to deform the character image data (step S3). The character in the deformed character image data is recognized (OCR-optical character recognition) (step S4) so that the recognized and deformed character image data are outputted.
