Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the switching time before starting a backup system by previously summarizing the control information and collation data of every business store server at a center server in a non-fault mode and loading them into a business substitute sever in a fault mode of the business store server. SOLUTION: The business store servers 100, 105 and 110 send the inquiry information 120 with which the updating commands are stored to an inquiry data base storing the data on the business of every store and also the control information 125 on a control data base that stores the inherent control data on every store to an inquiry data base 130 and a control data base 140 which are contained in a center business data holding server 150 and store the information 120 and 125 in the bases 130 and 140 respectively. A center business substitute server 160 is usually kept in a standby state. If a backup operation is required when a specific business store has a fault, the information 125 on the relevant store which is stored in the base 140 is loaded into a control information part of the server 160.
