To enhance the operability of an apparatus capable of recording sound and preventing recording unnecessary sound in the case that a means for informing an operator about a state of the apparatus in voice is provided in a remove controller.

A system includes a first apparatus capable of being transited to a plurality of operating states, a remote controller for remotely controlling the first apparatus from a remote place, and a first communication means whereby the first apparatus and the remote controller make duplex communication. Further, the controller is provided with an external notice means comprising a voice generating means, a vibration generating means, a display means, and a second communication means for communication with a second apparatus or the like; the first apparatus uses the first communication means to inform the remote controller about its operating state or the like; and the remote controller selects any component of the external notice means in response to the notified operating state or the like.
