To provide a wound optical fiber cable whose protective coating is hardly damaged even if pecked by birds.

In the wound optical fiber cable which is obtained by covering an optical fiber unit 2 with a protective coating 3, the outermost layer 7 of the protective coating 3 is composed of a semiconducting rubber having a duro hardness of 65-73°. The semiconducting rubber of the outermost layer 7 has a volume resistivity of 103-105Ω cm and a thickness of ≥1.5 mm. The layer 6 inside the outermost layer 7 is composed of a heat resistant resin having a highest continuous duty temperature of ≥250°C.
