Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve intake filling efficiency and to thereby improve an engine output by providing a technology for suppressing lowering of exhaust efficiency caused by a blow-down phenomenon, in an internal combustion engine provided with a solenoid driven valve system mechanism for performing opening and closing driving for an exhaust valve by utilizing electromagnetic force. SOLUTION: In this internal combustion engine in which the solenoid driven valve system mechanism for performing opening and closing driving for an exhaust valve by utilizing electromagnetic force is provided and the other cylinders of a plurality of cylinders become exhaust stroke bottom dead points when one of the plurality of cylinders becomes an exhaust top dead point or just before the exhaust top dead point, the internal combustion engine is characterized by being provided with a valve timing control means for controlling the solenoid driven valve system mechanism so as to differentiate time when pressure waves generated when the exhaust valves of the other cylinders are opened are transmitted to the one cylinder and time when the one cylinder becomes the vicinity of the exhaust top dead point.
