To provide an equipment inspection support system which performs equipment inspection without spending much labor and time about an equipment inspection work performed on paper base.

Equipment inspection circulating work required information is preliminarily transmitted from a host computer 1 to a portable terminal 2, the portable terminal 2 which an inspection worker M operates reads bar codes 71 attached to inspection equipment 6, equipment unique inspection content information required for an inspection of the inspection equipment 6 is automatically extracted by the portable terminal 2 based on read equipment identification information, the inspection worker M inspects the inspection equipment 6 based on the equipment unique inspection content information, equipment inspection result information is transmitted to the host computer 1 after completion of the inspection and two copies of the whole or a part of the equipment inspection result information are transmitted to a customer terminal 3 (such as a facsimile machine) held by a store 4 (building) having the inspection equipment 6 from the host computer 1.
