To provide a technique for aggregating communication information between terminals in a large number of traffic data by using small size data, and calculating the degree of similarity between the terminals on the basis of the aggregated data.
An inter-terminal communication pattern monitoring apparatus is provided with a traffic data acquiring section, a hash matrix generating/storage section and a section for calculating the degree of similarity pattern between terminals. The hash matrix generating/storage section holds traffic information between transmission and reception terminals as a matrix 201, uses a hash function to make a transmission terminal address 202 and a reception terminal address 203 into hash for each packet or each flow in the traffic data acquired from the traffic data acquiring section, and updates a value for matrix components in which row numbers and column numbers each correspond to a pair of hash values of the transmission terminal address 202 and of the reception terminal address 203. The section of calculating the degree of similarity of communication pattern between terminals calculates the degree of similarity of communication pattern between terminals while using two vectors in the matrices corresponding to the hash values of the two terminals.
