Title:
N-置換マレイミドおよびその重合体
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP4296761
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

To provide a maleimide derivative having high polymerization reactivity and a polymer having liquid crystallinity, excellent light and heat resistances and mechanical strength and to provide an optical compensation film, an optical writing and recording material and a liquid crystal orientation film composed of the polymer.

The maleimide derivative is represented by formula (1) (wherein, preferable R1is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, NCO, CF3, CF2H, OCF3, OCF2H and a 1-12C alkyl or a 1-12C alkoxy; preferable A1to A4are each a 1,4-cyclohexylene or a 1,4-cyclohexenylene in which an optional hydrogen may be substituted with fluorine, 1,4-phenylene or the like in which an optional hydrogen may be substituted with a halogen; Z1and Z2are each a single bond, COO, OOC, CF2O, OCF2, CH2O, OCH2, CH2CH2, C≡C or the like; m is 1 or 0; and n is an integer of 1-20). Thereby, disadvantages in that a polymer of a liquid crystalline acrylate conventionally utilized in an optical isomeric film, a liquid crystal orientation film, an optical recording material, etc., has low heat resistance, mechanical strength, etc., can be solved.
