This electronic mail reception device 1 has: a codec 6 performing decoding processing of a part or all of a plurality of parts included in the received multipart mail; a storage part 2f storing a result of the decoding processing by the codec 6; a setting part 2h setting the part that is a processing target; a processing target part selection part 2i selecting the part that is the processing target from the plurality of parts included in the received multipart mail on the basis of the result of the decoding processing stored in the storage part 2f and contents set by the setting part 2h; and a transfer storage processing part 2j performing processing for transferring or storing the part selected by the processing target part selection part 2i.
