Abstract:

To provide a rubber composition which is made environmentally friendly by using natural materials as raw materials as much as possible and has an improved rolling resistance and an improved wet performance.

The tire rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. diene rubber comprising ≥70 pts.wt. natural rubber (NR) and ≤30 pts.wt. terminally modified styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber (SBR), 50-100 pts.wt. silica having a BET specific surface area of ≤140 m2/g and 10-50 pts.wt. aromatic vinyl-modified terpene resin having a softening point of >100°C. The rubber composition comprises ≥80 wt.% non-petroleum raw materials. A pneumatic tire using the same is also provided.
