To provide a steam cooking device capable of accurately measuring a water level in a water tank.
A water level variation of a pump driving period t3-t4 is determined by acquiring output values of a water level sensor only at a start point t3 and a completion point t4 of the pump driving period. Output values of the water level sensor 36 during a period from a completion point t2 of the pump driving period to the start point t3 of the pump driving period are not acquired. A water level at the start point t3 of the pump driving period is considered as a calculated water level at the completion point t2 of the pump driving period, by subtracting the calculated water level variation of the pump driving period t3-t4 from the water level (the calculated water level at the completion point t2 of the pump driving period) of the start point t3 of the pump driving period, a water level at the completion point t4 of the pump driving period is calculated. In such way, an effect of atmosphere temperature with respect to an output value of the water level sensor 36 is eliminated, and the water level in the water tank 30 is accurately measured.
