To provide a highly practical television camera for crane in which the camera can be directed right below at all times regardless of the boom angle, the entirety is small and very lightweight, and fixing work, replacing/repairing work at the time of thunderbolt and maintenance work are facilitated.
The television camera for crane comprises an inner housing incorporating a television camera and provided with a sensor for detecting the inclination angle against the plumb at a position above the television camera, an outer housing enclosing the inner housing, and a U-shaped suspension frame having a bracket coupled rigidly to the boom of a crane at the upper end and a parallel arm extending therefrom. The suspension frame has a distal end portion of arm pivoted at a 180° symmetry position of the inner housing and the housing is provided, at the pivot part of one distal end portion of arm and the vicinity thereof, with a forced posture control mechanism which rotates the housing itself for the suspension frame depending on the angle measured by the sensor and directing the housing in the vertical direction.
