To obtain a production line work instruction system capable of responding to a change of a line flexibly to improve flexibility and expandability.
The system comprises: PDA portable terminals 20a, 20b to display work instruction data; ID tags 17a, 17b provided on a production object 12; a server computer 10 to supply production information; an ID tag control sequencer 14a to receive the instruction data from the server computer 10; an ID antenna 16a to write the instruction data into the ID tag 17a; a production facility 28b to detect the passage of the production object 12; a facility sequencer 13b to generate a preparation request signal in response to the detection of the production object; a line management PC 18b to read the instruction data in the ID tag 17b; and an access point 19 to send the work instruction data based on the read data to the PDA portable terminals 20a, 20b.
