To provide an information retrieval apparatus that enables an easy search for target attribute information even after, for example, organization changes or personnel changes.

The information retrieval apparatus has a search base point registration part 17 for registering a search base point of attribute information searched by a search processing part 16, and a search base point change part 18 for changing the search base point registered in the search base point registration part 17 when attribute information stored in a database 15 is changed. The search processing part 16 acquires and presents attribute information from the search base point registered in the search base point registration part 17.
