To provide an optical information recording medium which records and regenerates information by irradiating the medium with a laser beam with a wavelength range of about 400 to 830 nm and especially, has remarkable properties such as high recording sensitivity and rapid recording.
This optical information recording medium has a photointerference layer consisting of a coloring matter layer containing an indolenine cyanine coloring matter which has a spiro condensation ring in a heterocycle such as a 1,1'-dialkyl-3-cycloalkyl-3'-dimethyl-4,5,4',5'- dibenzoindocarbocyanine perchlorate and a benzene ring condensed in the 4,5,4',5' of an indolenine skeleton. The photointerference layer can record and regenerate by a laser beam with a wavelength of about 400 to 830 nm. Consequently, the subject issue can be solved.
