In an image searching apparatus 100 provided with a narrowing-down control part (such as a CPU 5) for narrowing down a plurality of image data into image data of the predetermined number and indicating a target image corresponding to the narrowed-down image data on a display part 2, the narrowing-down control part performs control to repeat: recognizing coordinates of image data corresponding to the instructed target image in a set predetermined coordinate space S on the basis of feature data indicating features of image data each time the target image corresponding to specific image data is instructed; narrowing down a display coordinate space S1 including image data corresponding to the target image for indication on the display part among the predetermined coordinate space on the basis of the recognized coordinates of the image data; and extracting image data corresponding to target images of the predetermined number to be indicated on the display part for narrowing-down from image data present within the display coordinate space.
