Abstract:

To provide a thermoelectric material which has a microscopic structure and has high strength and is excellent in thermoelectric property, and to provide a method of manufacturing the thermoelectric material which has high productivity.

A compact is manufactured, which includes at least two of Bi, Sb, Te, and Se, and is made of an alloy powder having the mean particle diameter of ≤30 μm. After the compact at the normal pressure is sintered to manufacture a normal pressure sintered body, the treatment for causing the normal pressure sintered body to become a more coherent mass is performed to manufacture a densified body. In particular, preferably, the relative density of the densified body is ≥98%.
