To suitably carry out random access control by additionally using the RTS (Request To Send)/CTS (Clear To Send) systems together in order to keep communication quality by solving a hidden terminal problem.
A difference of a frame interval between a communication station with a higher priority and a communication station with a lower priority is selected to be a time or over required for reception end of a CTS packet after start of transmission of an RTS packet. Even when a communication station acting like a hidden terminal transmits the RTS terminal earlier to the communication station with the lower priority, since the communication station with the lower priority can hear the CTS packet responding to the RTS packet and can set a NAV and wait for the transmission, transmission collision can correctly be avoided.
