Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diverter, low in a pressure loss and noise while capable of distributing a refrigerant stably against the fluctuation of the flow amount of refrigerant and capable of easily setting the flow distribution ratio of the refrigerant, and an air conditioner employing the same. SOLUTION: The diverter is provided with a diverter main body 2 and an inlet tube 1 connected to the inlet port of the diverter main body 2. A guide unit 1a having the inside sectional configuration of equilateral triangle is provided in the inlet pipe 1. The liquid refrigerant is collected to the areas of three corners of the guide unit 1a having the equilateral triangular sectional configuration at the inside of the guide 1a and the same is equally distributed into three sets of diverting holes 3a provided in a branching unit 3.
