To provide a digital content copyright protection/quality maintenance system and its method capable of surely protecting copyrights of digital contents, and maintaining quality of the digital contents.

A print identification code (ID) generation part 2507 generates a print identification code (ID) from a content identification code (ID) acquired from a computer 4 by a content identification code (ID) acquisition part 2501, an ink cartridge identification code (ID) acquired from an ink cartridge 8 by an ink cartridge identification code (ID) acquisition part 2502, a printing paper identification code (ID) acquired from a printing paper 7 by a printing paper identification code (ID) acquisition part 2504, and a printer identification code (ID) acquired from a printing part 2509 by a printer identification code (ID) acquisition part 2506; and adds the print identification code (ID) to a printed matter when the printing part 2509 prints a content.
