To solve the problem that a stopper impinging speed at the time of a fully-opening or fully-closing operation of an intake-air flow controlling valve is corrected with a high accuracy in decelerating control agaist disturbances resulting from variation in the environment around an electric motor, variation in manufacture of the motor, deterioration with time, the amount of adherend matter or deposits, instability of air-intake load or the like,.
At the time of the fully-opening or the fully-closing operation of the intake-air flow controlling valve, a detected value of a motor driving current in performance of a maximum speed control is defined as a first current value (11) and further at the time of the same operation, a detected value of a motor driving current in the performance of the stopper impinging control is defined as a second current value (12). Then, based on a motor load factor determined by dividing the first current value (11) by the second current value (12), at the above time, a voltage applied to the motor or a DUTY limiting value of the motor is corrected in the performance of the decelerating control.
