To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the durability while enhancing the braking performance.
A belt reinforcing layer 20 having a steel cord 21 formed at the angle of 90° with respect to the tire circumferential direction is provided between a first belt layer 11 and a second belt layer 12. The belt reinforcing layer 20 is formed inside a belt edge part 13 of the second belt layer 12 which is a belt layer 10 of the smaller width out of the first belt layer 11 and the second belt layer 12. By providing the belt reinforcing layer 20 between the belt layers 10, the rigidity in a vicinity of the belt layers 10 can be improved, and the buckling during the braking can be suppressed. Further, since the belt reinforcing layer 20 is provided between the belt layers 10, the steel cord 21 of the belt reinforcing layer 20 can suppress damages of a carcass 4 or the like. As a result, the durability can be enhanced while enhancing the braking performance.
