To provide an instrument for vehicles capable of making the emission luminance of a display design on a ring member uniform.

The surface 3aa of a scale 3a on the front-surface side is formed in such a way as to be closer to the dial 2 toward the inner circumferential side of the outer circumferential ring 3 from its outer circumferential side. When light through an optical path P1 from an inner-circumferential-side end part of the scale 3a to a driver's eyes E passes through the outer circumferential ring 3, the light is refracted at two locations in the surface 3aa of the scale 3a and the back surface 3c of the outer circumferential ring 3 and does not pass through the dial 2. In other words, the dial 2 vanishes from sight in the back of the scale 3a. It is thereby possible to implement a combination meter 1 in which the emission luminance of the scale 3a formed in the outer circumferential ring 3 is made uniform.
