Abstract:

To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery hardly causing a blister even if it is stored in a high-temperature condition and in a charged state.

This nonaqueous electrolyte battery is composed by using, as a negative electrode active material, a substance which contains Si and O, and in which the atomic ratio x of O to Si is expressed by 0Y/IXof intensity IYin a range of 460-490 cm-1to intensity IXin a range of 505-525 cm-1in a Raman spectroscopic analysis using argon ion laser satisfies 0.01Y/IX<1.8.
