To provide an image forming apparatus for forming images by gold toner, even when the image forming apparatus does not use a release agent, by using the image forming apparatus performing fixing, without having to supply the release agent in the electrophotographic image forming apparatus.

A fixing device of the image forming apparatus performing fixing without supplying the release agent has the functions of developing, laminating, and fixing the other gold toner containing the release agent at the same place as the gold toner, when image formation by the gold toner is performed, by using a toner containing no release agent in image formation due to the gold toner and using toner containing the release toner in image formation by the other color.
