Abstract:
A method of the pretreatment of a fly ash, characterized in that prior to the wet treatment of a fly ash, the fly ash is pulverized in advance. It is desirable that the particle size of the pulverized fly ash is such that it has a specific surface area of 10 m<2>/g or more, or that it has a frequency on the volume basis of 1 micron diameter of 0.01 % or more as measured by a laser type particle size measuring device, or that it has a frequency on the volume basis of 10 micron diameter or less of 90 % or more as measured by a laser type particle size measuring device. The above method comprising pulverizing a fly ash in advance allows the inhibition of the elution of a heavy metal or the like into a liquid in the subsequent wet treatment of a fly ash.
