Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a printer in size and to eliminate a troublesomeness in wiring work by obviating a power supply cable between a body and an ink carrier and to improve printing quality as well as to prevent occurrence of noise by obviating a conveyance belt or a motor for conveying the ink carrier. SOLUTION: A high frequency voltage to be applied to a shaft 22 is picked up by a pick-up coil 28 in a non-contact manner to be supplied to a control section 36 of the ink carrier 20 as a power source. Piezoelectric vibration elements 29, 30 are driven by utilizing the high frequency voltage picked-up in non-contact manner to move the ink carrier 20. The transmission of a signal between the body 42 and the ink carrier 20 is executed by bi-directional communication by an infrared radiation through a signal receiving/sending section 37, 40.
