A water treatment system comprises a former-stage injection irradiation control part 13 for controlling the dose of sodium hypochlorite and the exposure of ultraviolet light to water to be treated of a pond 3 located at the former stage of ponds 2-9 serially arranged in the passage of raw water 1, a middle-stage injection irradiation control part 19 for controlling the dose of sodium hypochlorite and the exposure of ultraviolet light to water to be treated of the pond 5 located at the middle stage, and a latter-stage injection irradiation control part 20 for controlling the dose of sodium hypochlorite and the exposure of ultraviolet light to water to be treated of the pond 8 located at the latter stage.
