To provide a covering film used for a method for cultivating white asparagus enabling yearlong cultivation of white asparagus regardless of its variety only through covering a conventional asparagus cultivation field with a film having light-shielding and light-reflecting function: and to provide a method for cultivating white asparagus by which white asparagus can be cultivated all year round regardless of its variety only through covering a conventional asparagus cultivation field with a light-shielding and light-reflecting film.
The film for cultivating white asparagus is obtained by laminating or bonding the innermost surface of a film formed by laminating a shielding layer using a hiding material such as carbon black, titanium oxide or aluminum on a film having a visible light reflecting ratio of ≥70%, and applying or kneading antifog material on at least either of the innermost surface or the outermost surface of the film, and has a light transmittance at ≤15 lux under <30,000 lux.
